 Robot: Creative and Comic Arts Convention was the brainchild of my partner, Darryll and I to showcase some of the amazing work within Sheffield. It was the first event that either of us had organised and was a risk that we hoped would pay off, as it turns out it did! The day included a selection of special guests who are working with big media names such as Marvel and 2000AD alongside artists who are working for themselves. All details on the guests can be found on www.robotcon.co.uk We held a couple of Question and Answer sessions which were open to the public which went down really well and as we teamed up with Sheffield's Horror Film Festival, Celluloid Screams, to showcase a selection of short films for our attendees. Reviews and Feedback has been positive thus far and we are looking into hosting a Robot Con 2 next year, we now know what works and have laid a lot of the ground work to enable the second to run more efficiently.
